NAME: Elody Rachel Styles
NICKNAME: El, Elie
AGE: 23
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Straight
POSITION: Intern
SPECIALTY: Blood work; comforting trauma patients
FACE CLAIM: Natalie Portman
PERSONALITY: Elody's personality is unknown to many people. At the hospital, she is brief, quiet, and hard-working. She follows orders, follows them well, and does not stop for a little chit-chat afterwords. Her time at Bellview is strictly for learning purposes only.
Many are put off by her cold-shoulder attitude, labeling her a snob. The gossip-hungry employees like to imagine what would make Elody put up such high walls, whispering of tragic romance pasts and murder. Elody doesn't seem to care. Even when she hears the rumors loud and clear, Elody keeps a straight face and completes the task assigned to her.
This wall has made Elody a strong person. She is level-headed, and a great person to have around in an emergency. Nothing makes her nauseous, flinch, or even cry. As said before, Elody's work is strictly work, and nothing more.
However, this wall has made Elody tender on the inside. Alone, Elody tends to brood, mulling over her thoughts with a gloomy air. Although she doesn't cry, her self-imposed isolation sometimes makes her want to. The only time Elody's true colours shine through are when she is alone with a traumatized patient; Watching through the glass, it is evident that Elody can be quite a relief to the patients.
So why the wall, if it is possible for Elody to be herself? Well, don't tell anyone, but Elody's wall is because of her uncle.

HISTORY: All throughout her life, Elody wanted to help others. She was the advice-giver in her group of friends, and had a reputation as a strong shoulder to lean on. However, she was attracted to the "wrong crowd". Her closest friends were drug dealers, and her highschool boyfriend was a drop-out. Once Elody had graduated, she expressed her dream of opening a facility to give care to those "street rats". Her parents wanted nothing more than to crush this dream. They hated the "street rats" that Elody hung out with, and failed to see them like Elody did--as real people. Elody ran away with her boyfriend the summer after she graduated, planning to start her idea without her parents.
Elody did rather well for a year or so. She had always been a bright student, and with thieving friends, she was never at a loss for any item. She attended to the sick who could not pay for healthcare, the teenagers who had been kicked out, and the every-day street wounds.
Her parents had not been sitting ducks that year, though, and soon sent her uncle, Mattais Harrisbrow, after Elody. He quickly tracked her down, and brought her to live with him. Elody, who normally got along with Mattais, stopped talking and eating. This was her rebellion. Eventually, her wealthy, and rather influencial uncle gave in, and offered Elody a compromise: she would start eating, and he would get her an internship at Bellview Hospital.
Elody agreed.
Now, she doesn't want to get close to anyone. She has lost all of her old friends--including her boyfriend--and doesn't want to have to go through that again. She also doesn't want anyone to know of her past, or the fact that she did not attend college.
So, up went the wall.
RP SAMPLE: The Harrisbrow mansion was a peaceful place in the morning. The soft sunlight cast a white glow on the picturesque estate, lighting the well-kept garden and the gardener working in it.
Inside, the home was buzzing softly with activity. The housemaid had been up since dawn, happily dusting every reachable object in sight, humming off-key as she worked. The butler was in the kitchen, striking a polite conversation with the cook as he assembled a breakfast tray to take to Mr. Harrisbrow's study. The stableboy was mucking the stalls, while his father groomed the three horses and promised his son that they could go fishing after lunch. Mr. Harrisbrow himself was in his large study, attending to some paperwork and watching the clock eagerly for breakfasttime.
The only one who wasn't cheered by the early, joyful morning, was Elody.
Elody was perched on the edge of her bed, which was made. She had left for a two-minute bathroom break earlier, and yet the housemaid had found time to clean the room in that time. Elody's hair was tangled from sleep, and a brush lay idle in her hands. The sounds of the full, happy, working house found its way through the floorboards, and Elody sighed. This house was no place for her.
Standing, Elody made her way to the only window in her small guest room. It overlooked the front of the house, giving her a perfect view of the garden and the long driveway. A sleek, black car was pulling in. A small smile played on Elody's pale lips, before quickly disappearing as someone knocked on the door.
Elody turned, and glared. "Yes?" Her tone wasn't as haughty as she had wanted it to be. She hadn't the heart to snap at the workers.
"Miss, your ride is here," the butler said, nodding his head to the window.
Elody sighed, nodded, and followed the butler. She could brush her hair on the way to the hospital.
