Derek walked through the door of the locker room. He had to hurry because of course he was late but he wasn't feeling up for it. Today was one of those days that he wanted to crawl back to bed and sleep until the memories were gone. He kept thinking about his best friend and Iraq. These were the worst of the memories but he wouldn't let it show.
Derek started taking off his tan tee-shirt. The shirt had different names of bands that Derek loved. Some included Queen, ACDC and Led Zeppelin. Derek still loved these bands even if they are old now. He took off his pants now and put on a pair of navy blue scrubs and started for the door.

[[LED ZEPPELIN! Aahhhh. I love them.]]
Unlike her fellow intern, Elody had been at the hospital early. An hour early, in fact. She had been victim to a particularly bad night, waking up at all hours and staring angrily at the red LED alarm clock next to her bed. When she had awoken at 4 AM, Elody had given up on sleep.
Elody had gotten ready for work slowly, taking an extra-long, hot water wasting shower. She had no desire to arrive at work early, unless she was going to be given work to do. Nonetheless, she was ready early, and had Uncle Mattais's driver give her a lift to the hospital an hour ahead of schedule.
Upon arriving at work, Elody's worries were confirmed. As an intern, the staff had nothing to do with her quite yet, and had dismissed her saying, "We'll get you if we need you."
Thus, Elody had spent a rather dismal hour sitting on a plastic couch, glaring at a clock.
Now, though, she was padding quietly down to the locker room. She had finally been given something to do, although it didn't elate her much. Rather, it made her feel like a snitch. Or worse, a school principal.
Walking into the locker room, Elody bumped into the very person she was looking for. Even in the large hospital, it was easy for her to recognize her fellow interns.
"You're late," she said, looking up at the young man. "They want to see you about it."

Derek looked down at Elody. She was the very person he was dreading to see. She was the only intern that would ever arrive early and stay late because her work was her life. "Good Morning to you too. Who wants to see me, Elody?"
Derek could tell that she hadn't had much sleep. She seemed jittery like she drank a whole pot of coffee and excited for the day to start. Instead of waiting for her to answer he said "You know what? You can tell them that if they want to talk to me talk to me then they should be doing that when i don't have to be saving lives. Now excuse me, I need to check on a patient." Derek started for the door, trying to get out before she said anything else.

Elody frowned. 'Good morning's were not usuallyexchanged with anyone, much less Derek Holland. (or Logan? I'm confused..) She opened her mouth, ready to snap back, when he interrupted her.
Ugh. This boy was so annoying! He got under Elody's skin and bothered her, like a bug bite she couldn't reach. She counted a day as a good one if she didn't have to interact with Derek much. So far, this day wasn't going to be a good one.
Elody's annoyance inside her did not show on her blank face. Instead, she stepped aside and calmly said, "Okay. I'll pass along the message."
If he didn't want to stay, then Elody wasn't going to make him.

Derek mumbled thanks and hurried out the door. He only had pure annoyance for that girl and that was that. He hated having to work beside her daily. They were so evenly patched in the medical skills but Derek had the people skills.
He decided to go check on the patient he and Elody shared. She had leukemia but was doing okay. He knew that she had a small crush on him. He just loved egging her on and getting a lot of attention. That is just the way Derek is.
((sorry its Derek))

Lillie noticed Derek exiting the locker room and walked over to him. She did not seem to be very pleased. She was one of those people who believed that if you are scheduled to work at nine you better be in at eight fifty, not later. This was not a job where you could just come and go as you please. People depended on you and if you made yourself unreliable it was not going to go well in your favor. More so being an intern. These are your years to impress not mess up and show that maybe you are not the one for the job.
"Mr. Holland."
Lillie said stepping in front of him.
"Do you own an alarm clock?"
If you were expecting to meet a bitch doctor at anytime she would be the one. She did not mind this though for she had a reason to say and do the things that she did.

Derek looked down at one of his bosses. He really didn't like her or how she treated him but if he wanted to become a resident he would have to impress her and deal.
"Why yes, I do have one," replied Derek. He knew what this was about but he didn't have any patience for it today. Derek brushed right past her and walked towards the Receptionist Desk.

Elody's face stayed passive as Dr. Winchester spoke to Derek, but a small ghost of a smirk found its way onto her face when Derek walked away.
Once Derek was gone, Elody glanced up at her boss. Not wanting to get hit with the bitchy side of Dr. Winchester, Elody decided to play it safe. In a flat tone, Elody asked, "Is there anything you want me to do, Doctor?"
Elody was here to work. And if Dr. Winchester had a job for Elody to do, Elody would do it.

Lillie turned her eyes and followed Derek. She was not very happy with him, which whether he liked it or not was going to put an even bigger drag on his week. She was going to make sure he was not apart of any surgeries. Which if he is as serious about his internship as she believes he will not enjoy that.
"You know,"
She said walking past him.
"You might want to keep an eye on your behavior."

Derek watched her past. He knew she could do things that would ruin his chances of becoming a resident anytime soon. He knew that she was two position ahead of him but only a year longer because of his college Europe trip and Iraq.
He walked towards the cafeteria. He knew he should be checking on his patients but he knew today would be one of those that to keep sane he would having to be pouring pots of caffine down his throat constantly.
